Muscular system posterior view

What is it?

Chiropractic (from two Greek words, cheir meaning hand, and praxis meaning practice) is a health profession concerned with detecting, correcting, and preventing malfunctions of muscles and joints as well as the effects that these disorders have on the nervous system and general health (World Health Organization). A chiropractor’s hands play a central role in specifically feeling problematic areas and correcting them through manual techniques. Although it has become renowned as an effective treatment for neck pain and back pain, chiropractic’s primary goal is to optimize the structure and function of muscles, joints and nerves.
